gRegistration for this training begins with an application process.

225 Hour Pilates Apparatus Teacher Training

Regarding Form teaches movement education, exploration, and empowerment. We believe passionately that physical intelligence is an undervalued, vital skill that supports a full and rewarding modern life. Through this lens, both as teachers and teacher trainers, we encourage individuals to cultivate their own unique and informed movement practices. These practices should be gratifying, productive, and durable, and facilitate a positive relationship with moving one’s own body.

We approach the Pilates Method from a contemporary angle, offering a discipline that is highly adaptive for any practitioner’s specific needs and goals. Our approach to Pilates is not an exclusive one. We also strive to shepherd the Pilates legacy with care and reverence for its early iterations. With these goals in mind, the Re:Form Pilates Teacher Training offers immersion in the traditional form of each exercise, as well as the tools to rework choreography creatively in deliberate, functional, and impactful ways. Students are methodically prepared to teach Pilates in a variety of different environments at a highly professional level — from boutique fitness studios to private practices, and beyond.

Because Pilates is an integrated system, our belief is that the Pilates Method cannot be fully understood or appreciated via exclusive training on a singular piece of equipment. As an extension of our 300 Hour Mat + Reformer Teacher Training, this 225 hour, 8 month apparatus training completes the arc of a comprehensive Pilates education, meaning that graduates of this program will earn the right to identify themselves as comprehensively trained, with 525 hours of education through Regarding Form.

Since the equipment traditionally included in comprehensive certifications is more often used in smaller group and 1:1 settings, our apparatus program is more heavily focused on developing additional skills for working with clients 1:1. This lens offers a distinctly sophisticated, intelligent, and nuanced approach to teaching movement and will, of course, also greatly serve the practitioner’s ability to respond to individual needs in a group environment.
